Design System
When my previous boss contacted me and asked about my interest in participating in a volunteer project, I immediately accepted the offer. I am dedicated to this project for several reasons: Firstly, it presents an opportunity for me to apply my acquired knowledge and skills to aid the organization in achieving its aims. Secondly, being unfamiliar with equine-assisted services, I am intrigued by the prospects within this industry. Lastly, I see lots of opportunities to make a difference after hearing about the company's challenges.
Although the project is still ongoing, below are some of the pages that we have already started working on. We didn't revamp the website immediately because there were some urgent needs that the company wanted to address. However, in parallel, I conducted website and competitive research, began streamlining the design elements, and had the opportunity to present our website strategy and recommendations for enhancing the experience and reaching the desired target market.
2/5 UPDATED PAGES
As part of their awareness and fundraising efforts, we enhanced the donation page. The idea here was to show transparency regarding donations received and time spent to inspire confidence in new prospective donors and volunteers.
To make the storytelling engaging and easy to understand for users, I added visual representations and infographics, arranging them by services. Additionally, I used the content to guide users to the main call to action presented on the page.
The purpose of the horse's page is to enable users to pick their preferred horse. We believed that giving participants an overview and presenting personality traits and fun facts for each horse, would help create a more personalized connection and inspire more adoptions and donations.

4/5 TAKEAWAYS
Throughout this project, I have had the chance to share my skills and knowledge for a great cause and it has brought me so much joy and fulfillment. Through this experience, I have reaffirmed that I enjoy tackling more than just the design process, but everything about the end-to-end lifecycle of the product experience, from initial strategy, marketing, final implementation, and social media activation. I have so many ideas that I am excited to bring to the table to help the team reach their goals. I am so grateful for the trust of the team at Bridle Paths for being supportive and open to new ideas, motivating me to do my best work!
