I'm Jeanette Arnado, born and raised in the Philippines, who is now based in New Jersey. I have been working in the design industry for over a decade. My journey in digital design started in 2014 when I moved to Singapore. Since then, I have never looked back and have thoroughly enjoyed what I do. I always look forward to working with different talented individuals and disciplines, managing the design system, and crafting user-friendly web and mobile experiences.
DESIGN PROCESS
Define
In this phase, I gather the requirements and their limitations, research the competitors, audit the existing product, analyze the SEO and analytics feedback, and understand the business goal and objectives.
Ideate
Once I gather the requirements and information, I collaborate closely with our UX team and design lead to create visual explorations. This is where I create the mood boards, typography, color scheme, and art direction for the product.
Prototype
Once I'm done exploring the design options, I develop the designs for both mobile and desktop. I collaborate closely with our design lead, UX designers, and stakeholders in this phase.
Iteration
I address the changes recommended in the design review, both internal and client review, and A/B testing. During this stage, I set up the design foundation and collaborated with developers to ensure compliance with requirements.
Delivery
This phase involves me preparing assets, finalizing the design system, conducting design hand-off reviews with developers, performing design quality checks, and acting as a liaison between developers and UX designers/project management.
Enhancements and Optimizations
Once the product has been launched, my role usually involves maintaining the product and designing new features according to project requirements. I worked closely with our engineers, developers, UX designers, and project managers.
