The Harley-Davidson App functions as an all-in-one platform for its members. Through this application, users can:
- Utilize GPS navigation to record their rides
- Connect with the Harley-Davidson community and stay updated on the latest events
- Plan rides
- Track a stolen vehicle
- Activate their bikes.
I was involved in this project in November 2018, marking my first involvement since relocating from the Singapore office to New York City. In this project, I served as the support designer, contributing to the development of the design system, designing and implementing several new features, and overseeing app maintenance.
2/5 APP FEATURES
H-Dâ„¢ Connect allows the user to enable remote access to LiveWire motorcycle via mobile phone.
With H-D Connect, you can access your vehicle's health, receive security alerts, locate charging stations, receive maintenance reminders, and enhance your pre and post-ride experience.
Through this feature, our team has presented a variety of use cases to effectively fulfill the specified requirements. Furthermore, we maintained a collaborative approach with our client, ensuring thorough consideration of potential scenarios and actively addressing them to enhance the overall robustness of our solution.
3/5 DESIGN SYSTEM
When I first joined the team, I noticed a significant amount of inconsistency across our designs. To address this issue, I assisted in improving and updating the design system that would serve as the single source of truth. I incorporated this system into symbols that not only helped us speed up the design process but also ensured consistency in our designs.
4/5 TAKEAWAYS
During my brief involvement in this project, I realized the significance of defining the primary objective and identifying potential problems beforehand. These processes helped the team expedite the workflow, despite the project involving only six people. The project was executed smoothly and efficiently, without overlooking any potential use cases.
